Born and raised in Brooklyn, Dax is a veteran-turned-cookie-connoisseur with an affinity for creating mouth-watering munchies, much like his culinary-inclined parents. From a young age he realized the uniting power of food, witnessed the joy and happiness it brought to people, and couldn’t help but revel in the glowing smiles of those around him after a delectable meal. Initially drawn to attending culinary school after high school, his overwhelming sense of patriotism and love for country ultimately drew him to enlist in the United States Marine Corps instead.
With Dax’s countless international travel while in the Corps, it was evident that food is a main driver in bringing people together. This was reminiscent of his childhood and reminded him of his desire to cook. Along with this rediscovery for cooking, there was his weakness for chocolate and sweets, which led to his inclination to bake. However, after a lifetime of playing sports and years in the military, he had developed a focus on healthy lifestyle choices and an acute awareness of what was going into his body.
It began as just a hobby, spending untold hours experimenting with modest recipes, infusing them with a dash of Dax imagination. What resulted were healthier versions of timeless classics using natural, organic ingredients, paying special attention to striking the ideal balance of sweet, delectable, and healthy.
